GF takes adderall to lose weight...?? |
starting this weekend my gf is starting to take adderall to drop weight...takeing TWO adderall pills a day. She is ADHD....she says when she is on them she doesn't eat at all it makes her so focused...she is 135 and said she wants to lose at least 20 pound with it...she has beeing pigging out the past few weeks just because of this...she has done it before...but is this healthy?...she also said i can't see her for the next 2 weeks because of the meds and how they make her......anyone have any experience with adderall...and know if what she is doing is ok? Well if shes ADHD its ok that shes taking them but not for the reason shes doing it. I was on adderall and it really makes you feel full almost all the time. I barely ate at all. Its not a healthy aproach to losing weight and I dont see anything wrong with even weighing 130 in the first place. Its better then her being belemic or something and as long as she doesnt become anorexic or stays on the pills and abuse it then it should be ok No, it's not okay; if she's that concerned about her weight, she shouldn't be "pigging out" in the first place. If she did meth or coke to lose weight, would you even have to wonder if it was ok? The best thing you can do for her is talk to her, tell her your concerned; if that doesn't work, tell her parents or her docter what she's doing. If she doesn't have an eating disorder or a drug problem, she's working on it. Not good. I used to take hoards of Adderall just to study and for fun and YES, you will lose 20 pounds in a week or two, HOWEVER, you usually gain back 30 the following week! |
