If a person has surgery, shouldn鈥檛 he/she be in bed trying to get well, rather than running the streets?

Friday, my friend鈥檚 17-yr. old sister was very upset because she wanted to take her 1-yr. old daughter down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras festivities. Since the girl suffers ADHD & Bipolar, & she鈥檚 abusive to her baby, my friend wouldn鈥檛 let her take her daughter (my friend鈥檚 niece). The baby is my friend鈥檚 sister鈥檚 daughter. So the girl got outraged & pitched a fit, & then she had an anxiety attack & fainted, & hit her head on a metal, pointy statue & had to go to the ER & then she got X-rays & emergency surgery later on. So, it鈥檚 a miracle how the girl can walk & talk fine since she injured her spine from the back of her head down to her neck. She came home from the hospital all grumpy & rudely DEMANDING my friend to fix her something to eat/drink & she kept requesting stuff that the Dr. said she couldn鈥檛 have. & so by Saturday night, she started rippin鈥?& runnin鈥?the streets, doing her usual thing, acting very wild & she snuck out left my friend home with her baby. My friend didn鈥檛 even see her sister leave, & she鈥檚 pretty much been missing ever since Saturday night. Now we鈥檙e all worried, & the baby has been crying for her mommy. My friend is 29, & her sister who has the baby, had the surgery & ran away is 17. We don鈥檛 know if the cops picked her up & put her in jail or not. She couldn鈥檛 have gone to New Orleans because if she did, my friend is wondering where the girl got the money from to go.

It is too bad they let that trouble causing bad little girl out of the hospital.

I am sorry this happened but am glad the baby is with your friend and not with the mother.

I hope everything turns out alright.

If she wants to kill herself by not listening to the doctor no one can stop her.

poor baby I hope someone will try and get that baby taken away from her unfit mother. I am glad that the baby has the aunt to look after her. Try an convince her to take some legal action for the sake of the child. As for the mom try calling the local jail or hospital for any unidentified teens. Good luck

omg im so srry! she should totally be resting. i know she doesn't want to so she needs to be distracted. hope i could help!

You sound so enraged...that won't help your friend.
Have your friend call the police & report her missing. Say she's concerned because her sister had surgery (did she have a concussion?) & she also may be disoriented & lost; & she has bipolar disorder & is without her medication.

Does your friend want custody of her niece? She'd have to report her sister to child protective services.
