Inattention: ADHDs vs Epilepsies?

What's the difference between inattention in ADHD (short attention span) and inattention in epilepsy (petit mal/absence/etc.)?

They are complete opposites. With ADHD, the thoughts are typically in hyperdrive, jumping from one topic to another. With a seizure, the mind goes completely blank or kind of reboots with previous thoughts wiped out.
