Are we selling our children and parental status to medicating while losing common sense?

This is what I call the new adhd a sales pitch from a pharmeceutical company to parents I would like other who find a huge off base problem with this to send there comment please.

Sensory Processing Disorder Checklist: Signs And Symptoms Of Dysfunction

Sometimes the child will show characteristics of a dysfunction one day but not the next. For instance, the child with proprioceptive problems may trip over every bump in the pavement on Friday yet score every soccer goal on Saturday. INCONSISTENCY IS A HALLMARK OF EVERY NEUROLOGICAL DYSFUNCTION." (Is it wrong that my common sense tell me theres a sell behind this remark and its ability to cover anyones *** for any damn reason is slightly disturbing.?)
Isnt that just what kids do repeat certain things to explore and learn to be creative, is using the term he has a very active imagination an act of oppression targetting children instead of take him to art class.

I get the feeling people don't want to deal with anything any more but profit off of others not dealing with anything or the promotion of which makes it easier for you and maybe toxic or hell on your children regardless profit justifies.

BTW inconsistancy is the hallmark of life also or an imagination.

Come on you can't tell me im not on to something here is more of the document

"The child with sensory dysfunction does not necessarily exhibit every characteristic. Thus, the child with vestibular dysfunction may have poor balance but good muscle tone."

The child may exhibit characteristics of a particular dysfunction yet not have that dysfunction. For example, the child who typically withdraws from being touched may seem to be hypersensitive to tactile stimulation but may, instead, have an emotional problem."

basically all this means is get them to the doctors office and we will give em something.

They will tell you what they and you are.
wheres the outrage?

Short answer ... you are right...

The problem with this:

1) There is no such thing as a "fight" at school.. They call it felony assault...

2) There is no absolute authority of parents. The government has the ability to intervene at any time for the good of society.

3) There are no troubled children, there are potentially dangerous ill children. There is no rambunctious(sp) behavior, there is only dangerous patterns of behavior.

4) Maybe they could go and relax in the park and watch the moon come up.. nope, illegal now.

We gave up our rights to parenting with the silent nod of protecting the public from those bad parents... and now if we try to parent, we have to fight the system we put in place.

You reap what you sow.

"common sense" is not the ability to diagnose.

Clumsiness is quite a different thing that a proprioceptive disability. It would take clinical discretion to determine the difference

A child with proprioceptive difficulties might trip over things, but they would also have trouble putting a finger on their nose with their eyes closed. One is a normal part of childhood, the latter is a serious -potentially dangerous - neurological impairment. Those are children who fall into a pool and cant tell which direction is up - and thus swim down....just one example.

Ok, so a clumsey kid that CAN play a sport is sick now... hmmmmm....

I am clumsey & hurt myself all the time, but somehow, I can use extra sharp knives while cooking (knives that my mom keeps hurting herself with). Hmmm, I MUST be sick too.

Medication is not right. Why not just bubble-wrap the world?
