A.D.D Medicine?

I've been taking adderall for 8 years and until recently I started getting nauseating migraine headaches, I knew it was the adderall b/c I felt fine when I wouldn't take it.
It's my 2nd semester of freshmen year in college and my grades are suffering- I'm on a scholarship so if I fail or withdraw from the two classes I lose my scholarship.

I took a break from adderall, tried to motivate myself but I got less done. And I wasn't able to concentrate on what I really needed to be concentrating on.

So now I'm on ritalin..which I thought was for people more of "ADHD", it seemed to work okay but I feel like it's altering my moods and personality a bit when I'm on it.
Really unhappy, much rather just sit around than go do something with my friends, go to bed early.
The same went for Adderall.

Has anyone had this before?
Im at the point that I feel like I can't experiment without taking medicine bc my grades are so low.

I have ADD and have been taking Adderall for about 4 years now. At times I get headaches when I'm on Adderall, most of the time it was from not getting enough sleep, having too much caffeine/sugar, or not eating enough.I knew that Adderall was causing all of those things though so I've really made an effort to eat right, get to sleep earlier, as well as start to exercise. To me it seems like Adderall can intensify stress, which can lead to headaches. Even though it's not advisable to do an intense workout when you are on Adderall I would recommend to start off with a light jog or a walk everyday to clear your mind and just get your body feeling good. Exercising has really helped with the negative effects of Adderall for me. Since you are prescribed Adderall and have ADD do you/can you receive any extra help at the school. I know there are special programs for kids who have IEP's, which basically states that they need extra help. Find out what kind of extra help programs your school offers, even if it is just study groups or tutoring it's worth a try.Try talking to a consoular at the school, there may be special programs for kids just with ADD/ADHD and it would definitely benefit you to talk to them and see how they cope and succeed in school. Just don't give up! Be an advocate for yourself and try to find help ASAP!!!!
