Adderall Question? |
I started taking Adderall monday for ADHD, and I have noticed that within an hour of taking it, I get VERY sleepy. It does help my concentration after I get over that sleepiness, and it isn't as bad if I am active as soon as I take it and don't wait. It seems so weird, since adderall is a stimulant. It would make sense if it happened after a few hours when it was wearing off, but it is practically right away. In ADHD, stimulants act as depressants. It depresses the part of the brain that conducts overactivity and it stimulates the part that induces focus. It is normal but if it is drowing you out too much after a couple of weeks, then you should go back to the doctor. When I took it it didn't make me sleppy. Run this by your doctor as there isn't one ADHD pill for everyone. You might need a different stimulant. |
