Nail biting? |
what is nail biting a symptom of? I have had this really bad habit for many many years now. My fingers are even starting to bleed. I also have ADHD and anxiety with possible ocd. Any help on what this could mean would be great. It somtimes can be assoicated with stress, but a lot of times it is somthing that becomes convienent. Like maybe it started when your nails were really long and you had no nail clippers. Then maybe you bit them again a day leter, this is how somthing starts to become a habbit! Stress causes this and also lacking something your body is craving? It means you have the habit of biting your nails. its two things, sometimes its because of stress or anxiety bu lso becomes something you do at a young age which makes it hard to stop because it becomes one of your norms Stress is the main factor of nail biting. My husband destroys his hands by biting his nails. One thing that helps is he uses a horribly tasting polish that is made specifically to help you not bite. He hets it at Rite Aid, its called Nail Biter. |
