I am feeling really stressed, my chest hurts sometimes and all I wanna do is eat and sleep...I have a lot going on and I think I need some anxiety pills or xanax or something, do i go to the doctor? like a psychiatrist or regualr doctor? Also for ADD or ADHD, what type of doctor do you go to to get checked? Thanks Yes you most certainly go to the doctor if you are experiencing anxiety difficulties. A primary care doctor can diagnose you with your problems. As for ADD or ADHD whether you are a child under 18, you go to a pedication. As with an adult you go to your own primary care doctor who can diagnose you with the possibility of ADD or ADHD. ADD is when you have problems not being able to concentrate on simple tasks. You jump from one issue to another. My son had ADD when he was young, and his doctor had him on medication to help keep him focused on what he was doing. you need to see your primary care doctor, it may be more than you think. Explain your symptoms and ask to have tests ran. It wont hurt you, just might save you! Most family doctors can give you something for anxiety. If you think you might have ADD or ADHD mention it to your doctor and he can either treat it or refer you to a specialist for an evaluation. |
