Okay, I'm an old guy - 40, married, and pretty much the only thing I have in common with you is ADHD. Here's the scoop:

ADHD is a "situational" disability. If you're trying to work as an accountant, ADHD is a monster. If you're trying to work in a fast-paced, lots-of-variety, creative job, it can be a huge asset once you learn how to manage it.

Right now you're in school, and school's designed to work best for non-ADHD folks who can focus & stay on one topic for a long time. That sooo doesn't work for people like you and me. Swallow your pride and take advantage of the tools they're giving you to get the education you need. It's worth it.

As you plan for the future, look into fast/creative/variety types of jobs and hobbies. That plays to your strengths. Find the right types of meds to help you (I'm an Adderall guy). Make yourself use a calendar, to-do list, etc....again, it's tough for ADHD'ers to get used to those tools, but they're life-savers. Lastly, find a hobby that challenges you to manage your ADHD like playing a musical instrument, martial arts or math.

Bottom Line: be proud of who and what you are. We people with ADHD think differently than most people. That lets us do some things that the rest of the world can't because of our unique perspective.

i have adhd for me its not to bad

What's ADHD?

Mostly boys have ADHD because its just how life is...we don't really know why. Sorry that your treated different at school its because people think that your "different" but your not don't worry! You may grow out of it!

take adderall

I have ADHD,atleast i thk so.I managed to get an Engineering degree from India. But I cannot keep jobs.I get fired every now and then. But i have accepted that this is my life.I fake resumes and get new jobs :)..works for me.Something better than nothing.WHo cares for ethics when one has this kind of ailment.

You can try taking omega fatty acid

There are different supplements you can take for adhd but I don't know all the brand names. One is Little Angels. I know one of the vitamins you need is B6.

See ADHD, in sections 22 - 25, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris You should at least be taking the Omega 3 fish oil supplements, and consider the dietary modifications, vitamins, minerals, and supplements, but they take a while to become effective. AVOID POWERFUL STIMULANT MEDICATIONS!

You probably get taken out of the classroom during exams because it somehow became part of your Individual Education Plan (or IEP) or other accommodation on a "504" plan. If you don't feel you really need to be removed, talk it over with your parents and guidance couselor; they should have been involved in putting the plan together.

The reason why it appears that more boys have ADHD than girls is that boys' ADHD tends to be more on the "hyperactive" end of the spectrum. In fact, girls often go undiagnosed because they are not disruptive to the class and they manage to scrape by with their grades.

I think you should follow the advice of "edthespartan" above, and take advantage of whatever accommodations there are for you. I know it is hard during the teen years because it is a time when most people struggle to "fit in," but you'll get through it -- and with a lot more perspective than the kids who don't have your struggles. Soon enough, you'll be sympathizing and answering the Yahoo! concerns of younger kids struggling with their ADHD, and they will be glad to have your help.

Hang in there!

PS - I also advise veering away from quackery - vitamins, supplements, exercises, and diets. Apart from very rare food allergies, only neurofeedback is still quesionable as a possible alternative treatment - and it is extremely expensive for an unproven therapy. Stick with the meds your physician prescribed and see a talk therapist at least monthly during your teens.
