What ADHD drug(s) is Wal-Mart covering in their $4 generic prescription program? |
Just today a press release was issued stating that Wal-Mart pharmacy will now be covering additional drugs under its' $4 generic program. All the articles I have read state that they will now be covering "some" attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) drugs. My question is: which one(s)? I have looked on every Wal-Mart $4 prescription list I can find, and I don't see any ADHD drugs on any of them. Please don't just give me a link to the drug list (I already have that. See below), tell me specifically which drug(s) are for ADHD. Thanks so much! I just called my Wal-Mart pharmacy, and yes, it is generic Ritalin (methylphenidate) they're adding. It is available for $4 in the 5mg and 10mg doses. Thor: that is awesome news! It is the drug that most ADHD respond to. Why don't you call one and ask...the pharmacy itself should have the updated list or at least let you know when it will be coming out. I just called my local Walmart and was told the only ADHD/ADD med that they are adding to the $4 list is Ritalin. I live in Plano, TX and called the Wal-mart Pharmacy and was told that they don't know yet until the list comes out. |
