Does stress stunt growth?? (ADHD)? |
i had alot of stress when i was in grade 5, alot, about my friendship, and etc. now im in grade 9. and i havent grown much since grade 5. i also had adhd pills in grade 7. but just for 4 months or so. i heard that adhd pills stunt growth too, is it true??? doctors say, kids who take adhd pills for 3 years, is an inch shorter than people who doesnt take adhd pills. so me takin those for 4 months is okay right?? Yes, it does affect growth Higher testosterone levels, particularly androgen, can cause a petite stature. With or without the pills. I know coz I'm sooooooo short.... I don't know. I have ADHD and have refused to take medications (long story, email me if you want to here it) but my brother takes ADHD meds and he is tiny!! |

Everybody's different and your ADHD makes you who you are!! The OCD can get in the way of doing things in a so called normal manner. I hate the word normal! Keeping your mind on task because o... I have ADHD as well and I am on the same medication. I find that the medication helps me a lot, I don't know about you though. I am in college too and it is very expensive. My ADHA doctor says... You need to seek some help Ducky. The ocd you talk off is quite mild. Also, how old are you? If you are a teenager, then your hormones are all over the place and mood swings are quite common. Again... Very long answer.. and I promise it is not a cut and paste quickie.. (I hate those) First of all... Awesome :) good for you! Finally a parent on this planet with some common sense. Drugs are... Definitely bring that up with your doctor. You may want to call and talk to him as soon as possible and not wait for your next appointment. Sleep deprivation can cause serious problems.
