ADHD/Bipolar Disorder/Depression/OCD?

Many people have told me that I have ADHD(or ADD) because I can't focus on one task for very long. I get very easily distracted and when I'm talking to someone I sometimes lose track of what I am saying and I'll change the subject within a few minutes. A lot of people also think that I may have OCD because I have to do a lot of things such as getting ready in the morning, doing my hair so it's perfect, I have to have my purse/bag on my left side. I can't stand having people walk on my right side, etc. So I was wondering if I could have OCD or ADHD. Another concern that I may have is I think I may be in depression or Bipolar. I have mood swings a lot and half of the time I just want to be left alone. My appetite has changed and I've been down in the dumps a lot lately. I've been extremely tired. Also, one minute I can be really happy and giggly and within 15-30 minutes or so, I'm angry and it ends up me fighting with my friends, or punching walls and such and then after a while

I will be upset and crying once again and then if someone tries to comfort me, I'll start flipping out on them. Is anything wrong with me? Do I have any of these mental disorders? What should I do?

Oh, and once before I tried cutting, but I stopped because of a boy that I loved, and he told me to stop so I quit with that.

You need to seek some help Ducky. The ocd you talk off is quite mild. Also, how old are you? If you are a teenager, then your hormones are all over the place and mood swings are quite common. Again, if you are a teengaer then I would think that looking your best is important in your peer group, so therefore, I wouldnt worry about spending ages getting your hair ready (my wife is the same!).

The most serious thing for me are your thoughts of cutting yourself. Is this a cry for attention, particularly for this boy you speak of. Are you trying to gain his attention by threatening to cut yourself or is something you feel an urge to do? Either way, it needs to stop and I would suggest that you seek some professional counselling.

Your best bet would be to make an appointment with a psychiatrist. I have been dealing with bipolar disorder for years and I've learned that I'm not always the best judge of my mental health.

All of this is disrupting your life to the degree of real distraction. You would feel alot better if you were to have a conselor help you work some stuff out.

Try to recall , any events occur which you do not like or it is not to your test ? If it is so, such things happen . Nothing wrong ,. Don't worry about such events . Go for some movie or witness any tv programme or go for shopping the grocery.Manage to change your mood and temperament

OCD, Bipolar/ Bipolar Depression, ADD are all in the same part of the DSM IV which is the diagnosing tool for mental illness.

Mood swings are NOT an indication of bipolar. To be bipolar you should have sustained MANIA periods which you lose control, have racing thoughts that seem faster than you can talk and are completely reckless and careless.

You apparently are very hung up on finding meaning in your behavior that may not be yours to own.

While you seem obsessed to that point, it would help to see a counselor and hear it from them. This may calm your frantic thoughts.

You should have control over your behavior enough to where you are not "punching walls".
Or you may be a psychopath:

Characteristics of a Psychopath
You fit a lot of these:

superficial charm
self-centered & self-important
need for stimulation & prone to boredom
deceptive behavior & lying

little remorse or guilt

living off others or predatory attitude
poor self-control
promiscuous sexual behavior
early behavioral problems
lack of realistic long term goals
impulsive lifestyle
irresponsible behavior
blaming others for their actions
short term relationships
