ADHD self assesment? |
I took an ADHD self assessment, it says i have a high likelihood of having ADHD. I would like to get this diagnosed and treated. They suggest to 'print and bring your results' to the doctor. What will the doctor think of this? Do you think that will help or harm my case for medications such as Adderal or Ritalin? You would only need those drugs if you are a kid and out of control, to hyper. If your doctor is any good it will neither harm nor help you. It will just point him or her in a direction that you want assessed. This problem should be treated by a psychiatrist, not a primary care physician. Although primary care doctors are wonderful for a lot of things, they can mis-medicate for psychiatric disorders. |
