A Very good weight room question??? please help?


Okay i can leg press 810lbs with 18 plates which is if you add the sled i guess which is 45 it will be 855lbs, or if i have my buddy stand on it which he weighs230lbs it will be i guess 1,085lbs... Why is it sometimes i can hit 855 and some days it will seem that i have to back down some weight which i will do 720lbs.. I hear some days you are stronger then other's why is it, last week i hit up 855lbs today it seems i can only do 720. what happen last week it seemed i was more tuffer...

We all have good days and bad days. From personal experience I found that at times my strength depended on a multitude of reasons. What you ate that day or the day prior to lifting. Have you lowered your strength with an over abundance of sex? Being stressed can cause a lot of problems. Just worrying if you are going to be successful with the heaver weights (lack of confidence). Not enough sleep. Exercising to hard to often drains the system. Not enough recuperative rest. Being distracted during workouts.

Take your choice any one or a combination of these things can cause the problem you are having. Or perhaps you are see-sawing on the edge of gaining greater accomplishments.

Either way good luck and keep those knees wrapped.

Many times your strength level and your training energy is determined by your glycogen level which is strongly affected by what you ate the evening before.

Depends on how you feel, how much you slept, How awake you are, how many carbs you ate last night, if you are feeling the pump or not. All the little things determine your performance.
