Weight Watchers??

I was wondering how well it works. Me and my sister are going to a meeting tomorrow to begin our New Years Resolutions.
I am 5'8" and weigh 190lbs. I was wondering how fast it comes off? What are you allowed to eat? And anything else you would like to add.

I am really excited to start because I have been unsuccessful with all other diets so only people who have used WW answer no stupid answers.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

WW is a wonderful program- they teach a lifestyle, not a diet...they emphasize slow and steady weight loss- so don't hope for a quick fix.

You are already ahead of the game- joining with a friend helps to make you more successful! you 2 should join a gym together too, or plan walks together.

Good luck- you will be bathing suit ready this summer!!

WW is great and you can eat anything, as long as you count it. I thought it would take a long time to loose weight, but I took off 30 pounds in 5 months, I'm much heavier then you are. I work with a women who has lost 75 pounds in 8 months using the flex points program, she has really stuck with it. Going in with a good attitude and being optimistic is very important. Good luck.

Yes. I just joined Weight Watchers online and will be going to my first real meeting on Thursday.I know it works if you stick to it . It is will power and determination. I am going to use the "points" system, so I can still eat what I want, but am only allowed so many points a day.Getting weighed every week will help me be more accountable. Good luck to you girls. Here's to a thinner us in 2008!!!

weight watchers works - if you stick with it.
there is never a quick fix - it is all about lifestyle choices.
they teach you that yes you can have that meal out, or chocolate bar, but you have to balance that with eating fewer calories to compensate, or exercising more. Theyteach you how to balance your meals around your lifestyle.
I went on it about 10 years ago to lose weight for my wedding. I lost about 20 pounds.

You can eat ANYTHING at WW. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months, but don't take that to mean that you will to. Everyone has a different weight-loss pace.
