CAn I lose weight this way?

CAn i healthy, plus foods that i like? Like, I really REALLY looooooove poptarts, so if my calories add up to 1,000 it's ok to eat them right? Cause all you have to worry about is the calories, right?

Yes, but everything in moderation.

You also don't want to eat only 1,000 calories a day. It should be at least 1200 to keep your body functioning properly.

You'll lose weight, no doubt about that, but you would be depriving your body of proper nutrition if you're just eating poptarts. Try eating more balanced meals with lots of fruits and vegetables.

theoretically, you are right that losing weight is a matter of calories in versus calories out. But when you limit food selection, nutrition and quality you can wreak havoc on your hormonal balances--especially insulin when dealing with the sugar content in pop tarts. I'd say if you really love them, then eat one a day (break it into four little pieces and have as post-meal treats) and fill the rest of your menu with healthy, whole-food choices that will equal the calorie goal.

My, my. Talk about a useless thing in the stores.

They are loaded with transfats. For the nutritional value and damage to your arteries, smoking them might be safer.

You might consider having cardboard soaked in motor oil, with some chocolate instead.

Fruit, girl, and variety, is where you get healthy nutrition.

Good news there are poptarts that are lower in fat and that should help some too!
