How can the doctor's tell you your pap smear test is normal when you bleed almost every time you have sex? |
My boyfriend of almost 7 years and I want to have a baby. He's had 5 before and I've had 2. So it wouldn't seem we'd have trouble except he's older than me.... But to have an OKAY papsmear and I bleed almost every time we have sex doesn't add up...... Is menopause without a hysterectomy at 31 impossible? Sorry let me elaborate. I am 31 but my boyfriend I have lived with for almost 7 years in October is 53 and his kids are grown and love me. So no doubt the world I'd be bringing a child into would be full of love.......... Also I KNOW he doesn't cheat on me and I KNOW I don't cheat on him also the only "health care provider" we have checks for "those things". I have, however been diagnosed with fybrocistic breast disease and one doctor thought it might be endemetriosis and wanted to do a hysterectomy. One doctor thought it might be polyps and one doctor thought it might be lupus. When do 2nd and 3rd opinions get so confusing that you just don't know what to do next? Get a 3rd and 4th and 5th? Who do youi believe>? I think that its totally not normal to bleed every time you have sex. I do know that a pap smear doesn't check for anything else but for cervical cancer. Other tests that your Dr. does is for STDs. Your Dr may or may not have done those tests. Usually they only do those if you are under a certain age or have risky behavior. I think something is wrong if you are not getting pg. Go see your Dr. and have him check for STD. That is definitely a possible cause for your bleeding. Also, early menopause is very unlikely at 31 Did you talk to your doctor about this? This doesn't sound good if this has never happened to you before. I think you should talk with your doctor. Bleeding with sex has nothing to do with a pap smear. You need to see the doc and find out what is causing the bleeding with sex. If you doc can't figure it out then see a GYN doc. um...pap smears are taken to test the cells for cancer...if they come back normal just means you don't have cervical cancer, i don't see why bleeding and a pap smear are related..if he way too big for you and hits your cervix every time, that could cause it, having a lot of rough sex maybe While that is not impossible however your problem could be a new virus that is effecting woman or even worse sometimes you will not always know right away for cervical cancer some doctors fail to tell you that. Keep pushing them to do more testing they can. One being an ultra sound. Take charge of your health apparently your health care worker is not. I hope you told your Dr. about this and if so what did he tell you. It's not normal to bleed. You should not be going through menopause at this age. It is possible that you may have a polyp that is causing the bleeding and should get back with your Dr. It can probably be removed at the Dr.,s office. Pap smears examine the cells from your cervix. You may be bleeding from a tear in your vagina, abnormal hormone levels, or many other things. Did you tell your doctor that you bleed after having sex? If not, make another appointment and find out what is causing this. You can ask about the infertility problems you are also experiencing. Please reconsider bringing another child into this world when you do not have a committed, stable marriage. You already have 7 children that do not have a stable home, don't bring another into this situation. 1. Find a new doctor who specialises in women's health. Make sure that it is you who is bleeding afer sex. With the pap smear, did you also get tested for infections or Stds? Because it could be something like that. It could also be friction. Certainly, if there's any pain involved, you need to see a doctor. A doctor could also help you prepare to conceive, and make sure everything else is in working order before you get pregnant. best of luck to you both! a doctor checks for localized cancerous cells or abnormalities. bleeding during sex is just a symptom not a condition. After the dr takes the cells to be analyzed they get sent off to a lab who then checks to make sure there's nothing abnormal about the cells that were taken. With the help of thinprep (a way that the cells are situated on slides) they (the lab) can tell if there is something abnormal going on as far as the possibility of precancerous issues. way too old woman |
