ADD? Any of you lost your job(s) because of it? How about your relationship? |
Planning ahead, completing assignments, listening for instructions...paying attention, being impulsive, being organized??? Yep, very hard for me. I can do it and then I'm exhaused at day's end. And...for those of you who criticize, you simply don't have it (ADD) , or you lack empathy. So, please spare the readers those comments. Seriously now, when someone does not have access to real medical treatment, untreated ADD can really destroy relationships and job performance. Same is true when treatment is avoided because of the social stigma. p.s. anyone have spare Adderall on hand...just kidding!!!!!!! I must say however, that is it amusing to go into a supermarket with another ADD'er without medication. Spouses hate it however. you can not get fired for adult ADD. If I were you, I would check out the EEOC laws. I'm 18, and I've been through six jobs in my two years of working. In my current job it's almost a requirement to always be on the alert and/or moving, so it's working out fairly well. I think I have and yeh due to my unoragisation skills i have lost jobs friends spouses and just about everthing except my dog.. who give me unconditional love i go thru jobs like most people go thru socks suppose it could be ADD am very nervous alot of time ohh ya i have to clean my room... Do you want to clean it for me? LOL Just Kidding! I have ADHD though i do not have a job because i am13 i do suffer from all the teasing name calling and the people who just dont understand. Sometimes i just want to slap a laptop in their face and say here look it up for yourself! Other times i get so frustrated that people think that "we" are different from the "normal" people. GAWD! i get so sick and tired of those people saying that "we" are "mentaly challanged" and cant think for ourselves. I dont know about everyone else but how much do those kinds of people aggravate you? Me well i wont get into that... LOL truthfully one word... TONS!!!!!!! |

For my son to be checked for ADHD I had to take him to a therapist and then she got him in to a shrink to prescribe the meds. For me I just went to the family Dr. Th... OK. First you should add about 25-100 extra calories every other 4-6 days. You just have to give your body ample time to adjust to the extra food intake. It is safe to eat after 6pm, but not... ADD is more, you cant keep focused or on task..but borderling personality has to be different...like moodswings and stuff ... |
