Lexapro and ADD? |
OK, I have ADD. And at the moment I an on no Anti-ds', how ever I go back to the doctor this friday and if he were to put me on some, I hear that Lexapro works very well with the meds that people take for ADD I'm on Concerta at the moment, I'am proble gonna get switched to Adderall thougth. What do you think is the best drug to talk with ADD meds. i have a friend on adderall right now, she comes into class as though she is high,, i mean she is literally high off of it! its horrible she looks tired, but she cant sleep, and has complete loss of appetite. i have another friend who takes lexapro with her antidepressants and it works well for her,,,, good luck! Well, I just asked a question about I've been off Lexapro for 6 months and everyone, family, friends ect. tell me I'm getting out of control with my emotions, getting easily upset, overwelmed, and they say I have good reason with so much abuse I've endured through the years, but, think I got off without my dr.s approval because I felt like it made me gain weight, and tired...now I've lost only 20 lbs since Thanksgiving, can't sleep, scared, but, been off, don't know whether to go back on them, I have the bottle right here, and I was put on Lexapro for depression which I'm not depressed, but, kinda feels like I'm bi polar and my family says, I'm not, the dr. they just say I need it and it would be better to not get so upset...so how do you know if you have add, maybe that is my problem instead of depression, which my dr. said, I've been through early meanpause that maybe that was why I needed it, but, evididently it's not the menapause. My favorite drug to take with my ADD meds (dexedrine and dextroamphet) is alcohol! I was on Effexor (for motivation) and Risperadol (to bring me back down) first - then I went broke, so the doc switched up my meds. He changed the Effexor to a combination of prozac and dexedrine - this is so awesome for me. I can actually function and even concentrate. It's neat - risperadol was replaced w/haladol - no difference detected by me. |
