I'm wondering if I have ADD...please help. I'm a 26 year old female?

My thoughts jump from one thing to another. I can't concentrate. I obsessively worry about everything. I can NOT concentrate. I'm wondering if I have ADD. I've always had problems concentrating listening to directions. I just space out....however, I am a very opinionated smart young lady. My thoughts are like someone changing the channel in my head CONSTANTLY. They are all morid thoughts. Always. Do you think I might have adult ADD? I wouldn't think that I have OCD. I've been on meds for these things and they don't work. For those that have ADD, what's it like, and did your ADD meds help control the "channel changing" in your mind? This makes me scared to try to go to college. I have a hard time concentrating and getting control. Has anyone tried 2mg xanax and ADD meds?

Help. I'm miserable.

Most of my thoughts are about death. It goes from one death thought to another, my mom dying, my baby, etc. I can't stop my mind from changing channels. Help me please!

you can help yourself out of this
I don't know much about ADD but I know that the more you think you have a disorder, the worse it'll get, because you'll notice your "symptoms" more and you'll keep thinking that you really do have it, even if you don't.

a lot of people space out and have trouble concentrating. I'ts just to what degree that makes it ADD. I Don't know to what degree you are spacing out, but its possible you are perfectly normal. try convincing yourself that you are. someppl don't even believe ADD exists. if you didn't know ADD existed, would you think that you really have a psychological problem? or ar eyou just resorting to something to explain your troubles?

you might want to see a psychiatrist, but most likely, if you really do belive you have it ,then their diagnosis interview will reveal that you do, since you will ansewr them like you do, and you may not want that permanent label "psychological disorder' on you for the rest of your life

you're just under some stress, you must learn to relax, you don't havd ADD, because it doesn't even exist. they just feed kids drugs because they don't know how to handle them. please don't turn to drugs, drugs aren't the answer.try eating healthy and exercise... of course i don't know you so you might already be doing that, but if not, try it.

ADD i dont think so i have been told i have been ADD but that is only because i talk really fast and jump from one subject to the next****** i usually only go from one thaught to the next when i have alot on my mind but that is when i am stressed out so try clearing your mind and slowing down try to only think about a specific thing for a while
