I need information about ADD/ADHD? |
I have a health and wellness blog and I want to write a post about ADD/ADHD. I can't seem to find the information I need. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I'm looking for information about how many children are diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, alternative treatments (I think I read somewhere that fish oil is good for treating ADD/ADHD), also information about why children are being misdiagnosed with ADD/ADHD I totally agree with you LindaD. I'm going to include in my blog post that I think that ADD/ADHD is misdiagnosed and sometimes teachers just don't want to deal with a certain child in the classroom. Try the "Born to Explore" website. They have a list of articles about alternative treatments and they also answer questions regarding what is (and what isn't) ADD/ADHD. ADD is "absence of darn discipline" check that site Webmd.com they have good info I don't know where you'd find this information but A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. is NOT a disease/condition. It is an excuse, developed by teachers, to NOT have to teach normal/active/rambunctious children. Today's teachers have NEVER been taught how to teach these children - so they demand the parents have the child drugged; leaving the child with no brain function and sitting in a chair all day like a wet noodle. The doctors are in on it too because they receive 'kick backs' from every presciption they write. hi don't worry to much i was diagnosed with ADD when i was in grade 1 and i am now 19. i am now in college doing what i love. the school tried to force medication on me through my parents because i couldn't sit still in school. so they put me on Ritalin for a year i was under weight and i wouldn't eat. my parents said i was like a zombie all the time. so they took me off the meds. i had to learn to deal with it had to work hard to focus in class. my mom said i was like raising 4 kids cuz i had so much energy but they found not feeding my lots of sugar and whole wheat foods. also vitamin B helps. Salmon is good brain food. but mostly sugary foods like pop and chocolate. junk food like greasy stuff should be avoided and food with color in it like fruit snacks food coloring use to make me hyper something in it. good luck. medicine isn't always the answer. the best way is to talk to your doctor i went to see many specialist about this.my parents found putting me in activities i was in everything like gymnastics to hockey but you have to find something they like for me it was sewing lessons i stuck to that. good luck |
