Are there any ADD meds. that are safe to take while TTC or pregnant? |
I was diagnosed with ADD when I was younger and have taken both Ritilan and Prozac for this when I was in grade school and Jr. high. I am now in my 20's and have been doing without meds. Mostly because I just don't want to have to take them. I want to feel like I can do things on my own without them(I'm a little embarrassed about my ADD) and because hubby and I are TTC. I would recommend the powerful antioxidant Isotonix OPC-3. It is a natural supplement containing the three antioxidants grape seed extract, red wine extract, and another powerful antioxidant called Pycnogenol which is a natural plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine tree which grows exclusively along the coast of southwest France. All three antioxidants are put into one supplement hence the name OPC-3. The supplement is in isotonic form when mixed with the right amount of water so you receive superior delivery and absorption in your body. it鈥檚 isotonic capable, meaning it鈥檚 the same pH levels of the other fluids in your body such as your blood, plasma, tears, etc. isotonic capable supplements are the next best thing to IV (when doctors inject medication immediately into your blood stream); when you drink a supplement that鈥檚 isotonic your stomach does not have to change it to match your body, it enters your small intestines within minutes. I would recommend trying to deal with your ADD naturally with your diet and herbal supplements. This will benefit you and your unborn child. Some of the nutritional deficiencies that correlate with LD or ADD are calcium, magnesium, iodine, iron and zinc. On the other hand, high copper, lead, cadmium and aluminum levels have also been seen in learning disabled children. Good nutrition |
