Anybody out there with adult add/adhd ? |
I was born as a premature baby with one arm missing from birth . I have always had add/adhd problems since I was a little girl and im now age 40 . I did attend some special schools for dyslexia when I was in elementry school . Years ago add/adhd was called minial brain disfuntion before doctors realy knew what add/adhd was . Today doctors know so much more . Oh boaring subject but I just need some answers. How do I get treated/ meds /support groups when I dont have health insurance ? Im just intrested in other people who have add/adhd and how they all cope . Hi my husband is 38 and was diagnosed ADHD about 5 years ago and severley Dyslexic. I am in liverpool, UK, so the process might be different than the US but please email me (and anyone else esp. UK who lives with or is ADHD adult). You can find your local community mental health, they treat the uninsured on a sliding scale fee, so you may need to pay like $5.00 or so but it may be nothing. They can treat you and give you the meds. i'm still 14. |

If you suspect you have ADHD then you need to talk to your doctor. They will recommend a psychologist or a psychiatrist to test you. Between your doc and psyc you can find a diagnosis that fits y... In some states, "children" over 12 can get health care independently of their parents, on the condition that their parents would abuse them if they found out about it. At 17, your doctor... Because your feelings weren't reciprocated, it wasn't really love, but infatuation. See ... |
