How can I stop feeling so tired?

I'm 14 and I had knee surgery yesterday and right now I'm in alot of pain but I also feel really tired. I had an acl reconstruction surgery and I need some suggestions. I had general anesthesia also.

After just having surgery it is normal to feel tired from the anesthesia still wearing off and the pain medication. Just keep resting, and don't worry about being too sleepy, it comes with having surgery. After having 6 surgeries in the past 2 years I feel similar after having surgery. Good luck with recovery!

This is unreasonable to expect anything but fatigue the first day after surgery. The pain medication has a sedative side effect so that is also a contributing factor. You need to rest as much as possible the next couple of days, follow your discharge instructions exactly and once the pain decreases, stop the narcotic pain medications and switch to tylenol or ibuprofen (whichever your doctor recommended). Expect the tiredness to go away in a couple of days. Until then, listen to your body and rest.

Give yourself some time. You just had major surgery.
Baby steps , pain medication will make u tired for a reason.
Sleeping brings your health back to managent.
Its like a car and its just been sitting for a while. Give it
some time to heal.
Baby steps. Be kind to yourself

You're going to feel tired for quite awhile as of now. You shouldn't try to change this. All you need is a lot of rest. (Even if you weren't so tired, it'd still be a bad idea to be active anyway.)
All in all, just go along with the flow of how your body feels. The body is capable of repairing itself. It just needs some patience from the brain.
