Leg Pain behind knee?

I have been noticing a sharp pain in the muscles behind my knee (back of the leg) and down my leg while, and more intense after running. Makes it hurt to walk afterwards sometimes.
Hoping it is not anything as serious as a ACL or PCL tear, but not sure..

Sorry you're having knee pain. The good news is if you're still able to run, it's not you ACL or PCL that has torn. These ligaments help to stabalize your knee and it would be slipping out of place if you have a tear.

Since the pain is going down your leg I'd say you've probably strained your upper calf muscle. Strain= muscle Sprain= ligament.

RICE- Rest, Ice, Compressure (wrap it), Elevation.

If you MUST run, make sure you wear some sort of support. But the best option is Rest and Ice.

I'm probably wrong, but use your hand to see if the area that hurts is warmer than the rest of the leg. If it is, get to a hospital - you could have a blood clot.

See your doctor. It could be a Baker's cyst.
