Ruptured ACL? Can I still play? |
I recently ruptured my ACL playing running back for my high school football team. I have a scheduled surgery, is it possible for me to keep playing football before surgery? Will it cause any further damage? I wouldn't suggest you play football or do anything that will further damage the knee. You could tear the cartilage completely off the bone and damage other structures in there. Do what your doctor tells you,it's for your own good. well i guess,if you can walk on it without it hurting. if it hurts even the slightest bit i wouldnt play because it could cause further damage, and it could get injured more without you knowing. but consult your doctor about that before you make a choice on your own. Yes sure, But it is not recommened because you can cause farther damage to the knee. |
