Torn acl in the knee? |
I had surgery on my acl about like 4 years about it was completely torn they had to completely reconstruct it and shave some meniscus off after I had the surgery I was placed into physical therapy and I got my motion pretty much back but I never got the strength back 100 percent and now my leg has been acting up like when i run it feels like its holding me back and my leg makes popping noises when i straighten it do you think its from the rehab not being 100 percent? or could I have another injury prior to that? Chronic weakness is known to happen...despite the efforts of rehab. Yet, the other consideration is the meniscus. While it is good at relieving pain in the short term, many times in the long term, it is subject to further degeneration because the mechanics of the joint have been changed. Normal strength may not have made this situation any better...it is a structural issue now. |
