Ruptured my ACL and need some advices?

Hello all,
I ruptured my ACL on my right knee some 3 weeks ago. Although i have not done my MRI, my doctor were pretty sure it is torn from several diagnosis tests he put me through.

I've decided to opt for a surgical treatment since my doctor advised me to do so if i intend to go back to my sports. The surgery would take place either end of this month or early next month after i'm finished with my university examination. At the mean time, i'm doing some stretching my physio asked me to plus walkin in the pool.

By the way, I've been walking without my crutches for the past 2 weeks as well. I'm wondering if that could worsen the extent of my injury? I don't feel pain when i walk with my right leg but i cannot be walking for too far and too long though.

My another question is, are there any 'modified' sit ups/ab exercises that i could do since i couldn't be doing the traditional one because i cannot bend my right knee...

Thanks to all that helps :

Use the crutches. You don't want to worse your knee condition before surgery.

Good that you are going to get your knee repaired. May you have a speedy recovery.

As for modified sit ups, try ab crunches instead.

Good luck and take care.

Try to rest and stay off your injury.
