Has anyone had acl surgery with complications??? |
i tore acl, had surgery 5 weeks ago. I have hard time straightening leg and bending. my pt is worried a little. also i have deep bone bruising, how long does it take for this to quit being so sensitive and sore? I had ACL surgery 8 weeks ago, and have experienced similar problems straightening and bending my leg. I started wearing a dynasplint every night beginning at 5 weeks and this seems to help. This device puts a bit of pressure on your leg to bend while you sleep, and you increase the amount of bend as you can tolerate it. When I started wearing it I could only bend my knee 100 degrees, and now I am up to 124 degrees. I still have a LOT of stiffness in my knee, especially after sitting down for more than 20 minutes. I hope this will go away over time, but I am really worried about it. Yes and OUCH!!!!! I especially hate when I'm sleeping and move or straiten my leg and the pain wakes me up. My Dr. said it could take up to 6 months to feel better and another 6 months to build the muscles back up. YIKES |
