I've been playing alot of basketball lately and have this pain in my leg - the inside area a couple inches above my ankle ...I don't think its my shin because its on the inner part of both my legs...what should i do to make this go away and whats going on

see a doctor, you might have a stress fracture. stress fractures occur from repeated pounding on pavement or another hard surface (over-training in running, and it is not uncommon in basketball because you are jumping up and landing on your shins). there are two shin bones, tibia and fibula, and one occupys the inside of the leg and one the outside. the inside is the tibia. i would recommend to stop playing basketball and get an MRI (since stress fractures only show in x-rays when they are healing). if it is a true stress fracture, you will be out for about 6-7 weeks.

You probably have a pulled muscle. A few days of taking it easy should do the job so you don't have to pay to see a docter. Be careful though, because in the future, you will find it easier to pull that same muscle again.
